If you want the exercise but don't want to brave the weather, you can walk around the Mall or use the indoor walking track at the Community Centre  The track is behind the seating at one of the Arenas.

Historical Tours

For 2019, the Town of Cobourg's Experience Ambassadors will conduct the free Experience Cobourg Walking Tours every Wednesday to Sunday during the months of July and August. The tours will begin at 1 p.m. in the Victoria Hall lobby and will include a historical overview of the development and restoration of this remarkable Town Hall, followed by tours of the Sifton-Cook Heritage Centre and Marie Dressler Museum where groups will be met by knowledgeable staff and volunteers.

The Cobourg Museum Foundation, which operates the Heritage Centre, was founded in 1999 with the goal of sharing unique local history with residents and visitors alike. Operated out of the Town's oldest limestone building, visitors can discover the story of Cobourg's history through photos, videos and interactive exhibits. Families traveling with children will enjoy the 250ft 1/20 scale operating model of the Cobourg and Peterborough Railway running the length of the property.

Marie Dressler is considered one of the greatest comediennes of her generation. At her peak she was the highest grossing film star in Hollywood. In 1931, Marie won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Min in the hit comedy film, Min and Bill. Two years later she became the first actor and the first Canadian featured on the cover of TIME magazine. Citizens and visitors can learn more about Marie's amazing life and career through interactive digital exhibitions on display at her childhood home.

The first Experience Cobourg Walking Tour will take place on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 in front of Victoria Hall at 1 p.m.
