The Artist Gala will serve as a prelude to this year's Northumberland Hills Studio Tour where artists will showcase samples of their work and will be free for the public to attend.

The Town of Cobourg welcomes artists, citizens and visitors to attend the Artist Gala on Friday, August 23rd at 7 p.m. in the Grand Hall at the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D'Arcy Street. There will be a cash bar, snack and refreshments available. For more information on the Northumberland Hills Studio Tour visit .

In alignment with the Town of Cobourg's Cultural Master Plan, the gala will highlight the incredible creative artists within the community and encourage citizens and visitors alike to attend.

The Northumberland Hills Studio Tour is designed to showcase, promote and support innovative and creative artists in our community by inviting them to open their homes, studios and galleries and share their talents with local and out of town guests. This year's tour will take place on September 7th and 8th and will include 43 artists across 34 studios representing 16 different mediums from painting, glass, pottery, wood, fabric, pyrography, stone, photography and metal art. Some of the local artists are internationally known, such as Alana Lee, an award-winning portrait photographer, Heather Cooper, famously known as the creator of the Roots™ "Beaver", and painter, sculptor and virtual reality creator Brynley Longman who has been featured in Vogue magazine.
