At the start of tonight's Council meeting, Suzanne Séguin signed the official documents and immediately got to work (see photo below).  She had obviously been doing some homework since she gave a full report in her new role of Community Services coordinator.  She also asked some questions during the Council meeting so she hit the ground running.

Suzanne seguin signing inOne of the presentations at the meeting was by the Hospital Physician recruitment committee and Suzanne asked how many people did not currently have a family doctor.  The answer was 750 in West Northumberland.  This was the number registered with the Provincial Government Agency Health Care Connect although there may be more. This is the agency that helps connect doctors with patients - so if you are without a doctor, Tracy West said that the way to get one is to register.  Details are given at this web site:
