Public Meetings - Planning and Development

Public Meetings for Planning and development are often listed on the "Development Dashboard" which can be accessed here.

But this is not always up to date.

Where available, notices of Public meetings for the Town are listed below.  That is, it's a list of meetings as advised by Public Notices - some meetings are only aimed at nearby residents.

Notice of Public Information Centre 1: Sanitary Sewershed Master Plan

WPCP No. 1 and Lakeview/Forth Street and Monks Cove Sanitary Pump Stations

The Town of Cobourg is undertaking a Master Plan study to identify the potential sewage system improvements required to address projected growth. The existing wastewater system is serviced by Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) No. 1 and associated pumping stations; however, projected growth in the sanitary sewershed area is expected to exceed system capacity. This study will assess the existing wastewater treatment plant and pumping stations and identify the operational and capacity improvements required to meet future demands.

Two Public Information Centres (PICs) are currently planned as part of this study. The first PIC has been scheduled to introduce this study and to gather your feedback on the study background, existing study area conditions, the problems and opportunities, preliminary evaluation criteria, evaluation of alternative solutions, and next steps in the study process. Members of the study team will be present to discuss the study with you and answer any questions you may have.

The first in-person PIC will be held in a drop-in format and has been scheduled as follows:

Date: Monday, February 2, 2026
Location: Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D'Arcy Street
Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
