Town of Cobourg Public Meetings
Public Meeting re 202 Second Street
Date/Time: September 17th, 2025, at 4:00 pm

Town of Cobourg has received complete applications for an Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-law Amendment by 202 Second Street Inc.
The meeting is to inform the public about the applications and to receive feedback.
The Official Plan Amendment Application proposes to establish a site-specific Main Central Area policy to permit high-density residential, commercial and mixed uses with a height exception for the proposed nine-storey mixed-use building on the subject lands.
The Zoning By-law Amendment Application proposes to allow both residential and commercial (mixed-use) as permitted uses on the subject lands.

Public Meeting to Review the Development Charges Update Study
Date/Time: September 17, 2025 - Nominally 5:00 pm - Following Meeting re 202 Second Street (see above)
At the July 16, 2025 Special Council Meeting, Council received a staff report and the Development Charges Update Study presented by Watson and Associates Inc. As per section 12 of the Development Charges Act, a public meeting has been scheduled for September 17, 2025 to review the Development Charges Update Study. Council will provide final review of the Development Charges Update Study By-law at October 29, 2025 Regular Council Meeting.
