Covid-19 alert - There was no Canada Day Parade in 2021 - but a Santa parade is planned for December 4, at 6:00 pm - stay tuned.  The route is yet to be announced.

Below is the previous route and may be used for Canada Day 2022.

Westwards along King from D’Arcy to William.

Road closures

  • King Street West from William Street to Division Street South of Charles Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
  • King Street East from Division Street to Abbott Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
  • Ontario Street from King Street West to University Avenue West will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • Second Street from King Street West to Albert Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1-4 p.m.

Alternative Route for Highway 2: 1:45 to 4:00 pm

Eastward.  Instead of turning south on William street, continue along Elgin to Brook Street. Go south on Brook and turn left to rejoin Highway 2.
Westward.  At Brook street turn right and go north to Elgin.  Turn left and rejoin Highway 2 at William.

Canada Day Parade.

The Canada Day Parade starts at noon and goes in the reverse direction.  That is, it starts at  William Street and finishes at the Bandshell in Victoria Park
