Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny is a 10km race along the Ganaraska River
Date/Time: Saturday 11 April - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Venue: Anywhere along the banks of the Ganaraska River in Port Hope. Most people choose near the Finish line where there are also concessions collectively called "Fannyville".
The event commemorates the 1980 flood that crippled Port Hope’s downtown area and is now a major Tourist attraction.
There are two categories of contestants: Canoes and Kayaks and Crazy Craft - anything that floats

Fannyville
Centered around the finish area at Barrett Street Bridge and Cavan Street, the event village will offer entertainment and activities, as well as the chance to watch the participants float over the last rapids section of the course. Live commentary will be provided, as well as some additional entertainment on the water.
Spectators and visitors will be able to enjoy food and drinks from one of the many vendors along the banks, or make the short walk into the town for shopping or bars.
